NEW: All three of New Mexico’s U.S. House of Representatives have signed on to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (NM-D), Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-D), and Gabe Vasquez (NM-D) have condemned the death of Renee Nicole Good, who was shot and killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis last week.

“Not just the unabashed violence that led to the killing of a mother in Minneapolis last week but the terrorizing of American communities,” Stansburry said. “The complete lawlessness and lying day after day under her leadership. Not to mention the corruption of hundreds of millions of dollars in federal taxpayer money that has been misappropriated and apparently redirected to her friends to apparently support her media campaign.”

“Americans deserve a DHS Secretary who is committed to enforcing our laws — including those that protect Americans’ civil liberties — but instead Sec. Noem has systematically violated Americans’ rights and undermined their trust, directing masked agents to terrorize our communities and obstructing Congress,” Vasquez said on social media.

“For the last year, Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security, under the leadership of Kristi Noem, has terrorized communities across the country with a violent, authoritarian and chaotic attack on our communities,” Leger Fernández said. “Last week, the entire country saw a clear display of their hateful abuse of force when an ICE agent shot and killed Renée Nicole Good, a loving and kind mother, partner and community member.”

They join over 70 other House members in signing articles of impeachment against Noem.
