BREAKING: Mike Johnson PANICS and scrambles for damage control after top counterterrorism official Joe Kent resigns in protest and reveals that Iran “posed no imminent threat to our nation.”
With one simple act of protest, he destroyed the entire MAGA web of lies…
“I’m on the Gang of Eight. I got all the briefings,” Johnson insisted. “We all understood there was clearly an imminent threat. I don’t know where Joe Kent is getting his information, but he wasn’t in those briefings, clearly.”
As usual, Johnson is lying. Democrats in the Gang of Eight have separately stated that Iran posed no imminent threat.
Earlier today, Kent, the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, resigned and stated that he “cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.” He revealed that Iran was not planning to attack the United States and that Trump launched the war on behalf of Israel.
The dramatic departure comes as a major black eye for an administration that’s struggling to sell a disastrous, pointless, unpopular war to the American people. At this point, nobody believes the lie that Iran posed an imminent threat to us. They didn’t want this war. Israel did because they desire to be the only regional power. Their goal is to collapse Iran into a failed state like Syria.
Johnson, a reliable stooge for Israel, insisted that Kent is “clearly wrong” and that the White House is prioritizing Israeli interests over American ones.
“Iran was building up ballistic missiles at such a rapid pace that we knew that their plan was to fire them upon Americans. The commander in chief and his administration had a very difficult decision to make,” Johnson claimed.
The real reason that Iran has been building up missiles is to deter an attack from America and Israel. Now that the attack has come, they’re using those missiles to pulverize our bases and the cities of our Gulf allies. Had we not attacked, those missiles would still be sitting idle in their launchers.
“Had the president waited, I am personally convinced that we would have mass casualties of Americans, service members and others, and our installations would have been dramatically damaged,” Johnson added.
This last point is a particularly egregious lie. Americans are dead and injured right now solely because Trump launched this war. If he had not, they’d still be alive.
