Keith Urban Leans on Country Pals Amid Divorce: Ex Nicole Kidman ‘Was Never Part of the Club’

Keith Urban is finding comfort in the country music community amid his divorce from Nicole Kidman, a source tells the National Enquirer.

The Babygirl actress, 58, “was never part of the club — she was interested in Keith, not his art form,” says the source, noting that she didn’t “slip into the cowboy boots or listen to that kind of music for pleasure.”

And though she agreed to raise a family with her husband of nearly 20 years, 58, in Nashville, the Oscar winner was “out of town a lot, sometimes shooting for months at a time on the other side of the world,” the source points out.

Her fellow Aussie, meanwhile, put down permanent roots in Tennessee, adds the source.

“Keith is a lifer when it comes to country culture,” continues the source, “and he’s focusing on finding new stars with his CBS show The Road.”

“What’s interesting about that series is how it focuses on all the things Nicole never understood about the country music life: the difficult songwriting, the lonely life on tour, the trial and error of becoming a headliner, all the professional heartbreak,” says the source.

“Maybe she can watch this show and finally have an idea of what he’s had to put himself through to become a success!”
