“Some days aren’t easier… they’re just held a little more gently.”

Some days don’t feel as heavy—not because the journey is easier, but because a little kindness and care can make it lighter
Today was one of those days.
Before my daughter’s jejunal tube change, she received premedication, and it truly made a difference. The morning still began with those familiar nerves. No matter how many times we go through this, it never feels routine.
But today felt softer. The medication helped calm her, and seeing her more at ease gently calmed my heart too.
While we waited, we played and shared quiet moments of laughter—small, simple moments that mean everything. When she felt peaceful, that peace settled over me as well.
Some days still bring challenges… but today also brought a little more gentleness. And for that, I am deeply grateful.
